Our charity of the month is Right To Sight, a charity set up three years ago by an Irish eye surgeon with the stated goal of eradicating preventable blindness across the world.

Specifically, we are trying to help them raise €200,000 by the end of May so they can draw down another €200,000 of matching funding they have been promised.

Right To Sight was nominated as a charity of the month by Simon Hampel, its chief executive.

If you would like to nominate a pet cause as our charity of the month, please email us at charity@hush-uk.com with information about the charity itself, how the money would be spent and your own particular interest/involvement.

As there are only 12 months in the year, we obviously cannot feature everyone - so priority will be given to smaller charities (or local branches of national charities) where our donation and the publicity in our email newsletter may have more of an effect.

We are also very happy to consider requests for prizes for charity raffles, auction lots etc.
