Winter has to be without a shadow of a doubt, my favourite time of the year when it comes to clothes. Shorter days, darker nights and a nip in the air is the perfect excuse to get cosy and start layering up.
Colours are a delicious, muted palette that are so easy to mix and match - gorgeous wintry shaded tones that you can seamlessly put together.
My idea of heaven is being able to layer close fitting jersey tees, with an oversized jumper - take your pick from a more casual sloppy joe to luxurious cashmere. Wonderful fluid harems tucked into classic heeled chelsea boots brings your slouchy look right up to date.
For a perfectly snuggly Bonfire Night, team with a huge textured shawl or add detail and warmth with a star scarf. And to keep you cosy when out watching those fireworks as well as a mug of hot spiced cider, a pair of cashmere wrist warmers with a matching cashmere beret are a complete must.
Dresses also come into their own at this time of year. For me, I love a loose, dropped waist dress which looks great with thick tights, chunky ankle boots and a huge scarf for the day. Simply swap for heeled shoe boots and a statement necklace for a casual night out. The perfect dresses are ones that will take you from day to night, completely ideal for investment dressing and getting the most out of the outfits you love.
