Don't miss

In Conversation With... Julia Rebaudo

What made you start blogging?

It was something to get my teeth into while on maternity leave. It very quickly became the perfect meeting place for a variety of my passions and obsessions as well as fuelling an ever-evolving interest in photography.

What did you do beforehand?

I worked as a freelance journalist – a mix of lifestyle features and interviews for all sorts of publications including Elle, The Guardian, Mixmag and Psychologies. It's an incredible job, but you have to work and pitch hard!

How do you relax/switch off?

Something I don't do enough of now, but the best mental therapy ever for me is knitting socks (or crocheting squares!) and listening to music on headphones.

Favourite book?

At the moment it's Daughter of Smoke & Bone. The first in a Young Adult trilogy by Laini Taylor, a beautiful and terrible love story between a demon and an angel.

Favourite film?

Bringing Up Baby with Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn. A completely fabulous 1938 screwball comedy featuring a gorgeous leopard!

Favourite blog/website?

Right now, I can't get enough of the beautiful food and lifestyle photography on US blog Bleubaird ( and incredible recipes and photography by teen blogger Top With Cinnamon. (

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Dark chocolate anything!

What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?

"Time spent in another world is never wasted." My husband found this quote in a book called The Ancient Paths and it's become my mantra!

What are you listening to at the moment?

I've just discovered a new London artist called Sonia Stein, described 'as a cross between Kate Bush and Banks'. Moody, emotive lyrics, and very atmospheric – just how I like my music!

What’s your favourite item from the hush spring\summer 14 collection?

I'm pretty obsessed with all the light knits right now, especially this striped one. And come the summer, I'd love to be floating around in this gorgeous maxi dress.
