Great British Food Festival

Where? Various locations around Derbyshire

When? 2nd May – 20th September

What/who can I expect to see?

A large, family friendly event in the celebration of Great British produces spanning over 7 locations., with foodie talks, live demos, famous chefs and Great British Produce you can sample, enjoy and buy along with some great live music.

 

Regent's Park Open Air Theatre

Where? Regent's Park

When? 15th May - 12th September

What/who can I expect to see?

The award-winning Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre is a London landmark – a firm fixture of summer in the city, providing a cultural hub in the beautiful surroundings of a Royal Park. Everything from family-friendly Peter Pan to the horror classic, Lord of The Flies - all in open air.

 

Luna Cinema

Where? Selected UK towns & cities

When? 23rd May - 27th September

What/who can I expect to see?

A classic film on a big screen in a beautiful or prestigious setting around the UK. Expect a mix of classic film and modern cinematography - all must-see movies under the stars.

 

JULY

 

Paddle Round The Pier

Where? Brighton, East Sussex

When? 4-5th July

What/who can I expect to see?

Paddle Round The Pier, is the world's biggest free beach and watersports festival. It features the very best in water, street and urban sports, live music, kids entertainment, 'have a go' opportunities and much more! Expect a family friendly day by the sea, music, food, competitions, in-sea sports and a dog show!

 

Wilderness

Where? Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire

When? 6-9th July

What/who can I expect to see?

Long table banquets from the likes of Raymond Blanc, more feasts than you can shake a stick at, theatre and arts, debates and wellbeing areas for morning meditation and yoga.

 

T in the Park

Where? Perthshire, Scotland

When? 10-12th July

What/who can I expect to see?

A mixture of big names such as Daivd Guetta , Sam Smith & Hozier and unsigned talent, gracing the multiple stages including the BBC Introducing.

 

Latitude

Where? Southwold, Suffolk

When? 16-19th July

What/who can I expect to see?

Music, poetry, comedy, theatrical installations in the Faraway Forest and lots of family fun! The line-up includes Catfish & The Bottleman and Years & Years.

 

Secret Garden Party

Where? Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire

When? 23-26th July

What/who can I expect to see?

The Secret Garden Party overflows with creativity, colour and mystery. Set in a 10 acre landscaped garden, bordering a river and a lake, the Secret Garden Party is a true escape from normality, with surprises and new experiences around every corner.

 

Camp Bestival

Where? Lulworth Castle, Dorset

When? 30th July - 2nd August

What/who can I expect to see?

Camp Bestival is a British music festival, the "little sister" of Bestival and is targeted at families with small children. Music, singalongs, family fun shows such as Mr Tumble, a circus, train rides, comedy, an observatory and more!

 

AUGUST

 

The Great British Beer Festival

When? 11-15th August

Where? Olympia, West London

What/who can I expect to see?

Over 800 different beers along with tutored tasting sessions to make sure you get the best out of your ale!

 

Bestival

Where? Robin Hill, Isle of Wight

When? 10-13th September

What/who can I expect to see?

Bestival describes itself as a 'tongue in cheek adventure land' with non-stop weekend long entertainment including knitting while at a rave, films in the forest, cabaret and comedy. Perfect for the more outgoing or those who love to people watch! The Chemical Brothers headline, alongside the likes of Duran Duran and Mark Ronson.

 

SEPTEMBER

Proms In The Park

Where? Hype Park, London

When?  12th September

What/who can I expect to see?

The finale of the two month long Proms in the Royal Albert Hall, the biggest night of classical music in the calender, 5 hours of watching the stars and listening to some live classical music.
