I think everyone’s approach when shopping should be that of a timeless one. I tend to start off by looking for those hero pieces that’ll transcend the seasons, followed by the underpinnings and basics to complete the looks. I make sure they are easily interchangeable, which allows me to style each individual piece in so many different ways; I can rework and reincorporate each style to create a completely different look. With that in mind, I’ve picked out five key pieces from this new collection that are perfect for timeless styling…
THE QUILTED COAT
The quilted coat was my first choice, as I love khaki green; it’s a chic colour that suits everyone. This is a great piece as the quilted style is a classic one – fashionable and functional – and the collarless design is something that modernises it and gives it that minimalistic feel. I’ve styled it with a bolder striped underpinning to contrast the neutral khaki, along with cargo jeans and lace-up boots – it’s a cool (and slightly androgynous) casual look for everyday. You could also wear it with a pair of loafers!

THE STRIPED CARDIGAN
The striped cardigan is the perfect throw-on for interim weather. It’s thick enough to keep you warm (and might just replace your jacket between seasons) but isn’t too heavy to be worn on lighter spring days. The stripes are statement yet classic – they might be having a moment right now, but they’ll never go out of style either. For this look, I’ve gone for modernised back-to-school chic, pairing the cardigan with white socks, loafers and a mini skirt. And if mini skirts aren’t really your thing, I’ve also paired it with grey washed jeans (tucking in the cowboy boots) for an effortlessly chic look that’s casually sophisticated.

THE CARGO JEANS
What I like about these is the design mix of both jeans and cargo pants – two styles which are very much timeless in their own right. And with the rise of the Y2K trend (which is clearly here to stay) what’s not to love? It’s two in one! I’ve styled these with a classic khaki green bomber, keeping to the androgynous feel of the jeans with versatile, neutral tones. And, if you want a more elevated look, I also styled them with a simple, crisp shirt to smarten things up; I love mixing casual and smart pieces together to stretch their versatility – the result always feels cool and effortless.

THE WHITE SHIRT
The white shirt is a piece everyone should have in their wardrobe – I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t look great in it. It’s suited to so many occasions and can be styled in so many different ways. I tend to style mine as a dress if the shape is oversized enough, teamed with a pair of cowboy boots. Here with the Pip shirt, I’ve gone super classic with a chic suit; the oversized fit makes it the perfect modern office attire, as it can be dressed down with trainers or smartened up with loafers. For a more casual vibe, I styled the white shirt with blue-wash jeans and loafers: simple, chic and timeless. This will always be a go-to look for me in spring… When I know I can put on a white shirt and jeans for the office, spring has finally sprung!
