WHAT TO WEAR NOW
The autumn pieces we're styling every day

The arrival of October means our wardrobes are really kicking into autumn gear. It’s around about now that we look forward to cocooning ourselves in those heavier jackets, cosy knits and sleek buttery-soft leather pieces, usually in rich autumnal hues. We created our latest collection with your everyday life in mind, so as well as giving you some new season excitement, these pieces have serious styling longevity and versatility (thanks to gorgeous fabrications and silhouettes that balance the cool and the classic). Here are the things we’ll be investing in for the long-term.

The hybrid dressThere’s an art to layering we enjoy, but sometimes we like to make things easy. So we’ve created the perfect throw on dress for those dark, early mornings when you can’t quite get your head around making an outfit. The Gabriella dress is a hybrid of one of our beautifully soft sweatshirts with a pleated skirt, so it has all the easy attitude of sportswear combined with the feminine elegance of a dress (read: incredibly versatile).

Burgundy tones The colour of the season has made itself known: burgundy is inescapable this autumn. And we wouldn’t want it any other way, since it looks so good with the camel, grey and black tones in our wardrobes. We’ll always advocate for a head-to-toe look (it just feels chic) so we’ll be wearing this rich wine palette in soft jumpers, cord trousers and trending ballet flats.

The leopard jeansIf you’re making just one update to your wardrobe this season then make it a pair of leopard jeans. They’re the coolest way to embrace the animal print comeback and, given our never-ending obsession with denim, they feel very us. Ours have a wide leg (but not too wide) and a washed, faded, laid-back feel that took forever to perfect (but was well worth it, as it takes the edge off this print). Style with all the chocolatey, reddy colours of the season.

The slouchy shoulder bagBoho is back. The slouchy shoulder bag gives any outfit a laid-back vibe, and also wins on practicality with its pile-it-all-in spaciousness. Choose texture for bold but easy impact against a classic coat.

The leather accentLeather has the kind of anti-trend appeal that really speaks to us. Invest in a great piece, and it’ll be a star in your wardrobe forever. We’re loving the sleek buttery soft finish of this season’s leather pieces, like our wide-leg trousers. They give every outfit polish and put togetherness, but we’ve added an easy, elasticated waist so they’re extra comfy. Contrast the look with a classic grey marl sweatshirt to give them some nonchalance.

The chunky cashmere jumperThere are jumpers, and then there are really great jumpers. Our Cora chunky cashmere jumper is one of them. In the perfect length (for tucking or not tucking) with a thicker crew neck, it’s probably the softest, most beautiful jumper we’ve ever made (and we’ve been doing great knitwear for 20 years). Another great thing to note – all our cashmere is fully traceable back to the farm it came from, so we know the animals and humans involved in creating it have been treated fairly.

The transitional jacketLet’s face it, outerwear is about to get a lot of airtime in our wardrobes, so it’s deserving of an upgrade. And there’s nothing more inviting than the cosy texture of our Anya teddy jacket. It’s got a boxy, collarless shape that nods to Scandi silhouettes, with deep pockets to bury hands into when it gets cold. Style it with neutrals, denim, leather – everything.

The silver bootsIt’s been exactly 30 years since Space Cowboy was released and if that makes you feel old, self-soothe with our metallic Western boots. A silver accent is a great way to add some fun to your looks, and the stacked heel on this pair makes them great for dressing up and down. We love teaming them with a barrel jean.
