I love the skinny waistband and find it super comfy. It doesn't have a tie on the waist. It's just the elastic. I like to wear it a bit lower on my waist. I love the neutral colour way and find it super flattering. The length is great too. Not too long or short. I'm 5ft 5. But, the waist is awful - it's a very slim channel of elastic which isn't very comfortable - and because of the way in which the fabric has been gathered, it somehow manages to make me look both frumpy and large on the hips. I've tried it on with almost every top I own as I desperately wanted to keep it but sadly nothing helped. If I had the sewing skills I'd replace the waistband with a flat front and elastic at the back or even a fixed waistband.
