LEOPARD PRINT IS A NEUTRAL (WITH OOMPH)
Here's why ours is wearable and easy

We've always loved animal print at Hush. In fact, I've been on the design team for seven years, and there aren't many seasons that've passed by without a sprinkling of leopard spots somewhere. What I really love about our take on animal is how wearable it feels. It might have that reputation of being bold and a bit of a statement, but I really believe it's a neutral – just with a little extra something. You'll always find it in my wardrobe, but the fact that it's having a bit of a moment again this autumn makes me very happy.

We've got lots of great animal pieces in our latest collection, but I want to take a moment for the coats. On paper, a leopard print maxi coat might sound a bit much, but our Edie coat proves otherwise. We focussed on knocking back the contrasts to make it more subtle and wearable, so it'll go with pretty much everything in your wardrobe, from joggers to jeans. I have to also shout-out how beautiful it feels to wear – we've made it from our signature double-faced wool, which involves hand-sewing two pieces of wool together so that the inside and outside are equally beautiful. It's cosy, drapey, and so luxe, and it manages to feel effortless and put-together at the same time. The coolest way to wear it, in my opinion, is super casually. I've styled mine with our Alyna joggers (my literal comfort zone) and our incredible cashmere tee for an easy weekend look that's just the right amount of elevated.

If I'm wanting to dress things up (and this really is about as dressy as I get), I'll add some burgundy leather accessories like our heeled sock boots (so comfortable to walk in, I promise) and barrel-shaped cross-body bag. I'm wearing our shorter leopard coat out for dinner with friends, and I've layered it over our Reece tee and Juni cardigan because I love that combo of chocolate brown and grey. It's the kind of outfit that makes me feel dressed up without feeling over the top – exciting, but not extra.
